Measure Twice, Cut Once
Since custom cuts and fabricated parts are non-refundable, be very careful while measuring your dimensions. As each cut is nominal, even the slightest miscalculation could be costly.
How to Use a Measuring Tape
Extend your tape measure several inches to find the 1 and 2 inch markers. In between the inch markers you’ll find 16 equally spaced tick marks.
Measure by counting the increments beyond the nearest inch. As the increments decrease, so does the length of the mark. For example, 1/2" has a bigger mark than 1/4" which has a bigger mark than 1/8". The smallest mark follows at 1/16". Please be aware that some measuring tapes may have even smaller increments.
Features of a Measuring Tape: Sliding End Hook
The sliding end hook is designed for two different types of measurements. An outside measurement (where the hook of the tape hangs over an edge), requires the hook to slide out a bit to account for the thickness of the material. When making an inside measurement (where the hook will push up against a surface), the clip slides in, again, accounting for its thickness. The measuring tape self-adjusts to guarantee an accurate measurement (as far as the tape is concerned).
Sanitizing Acrylic and Polycarbonate Sheet [X]
Acrylic and Polycarbonate Sneeze Guards and like products require special care while cleaning and disinfecting. To maintain the optical clarity of sneeze guards and other acrylic or polycarbonate items, use an acrylic or polycarbonate safe cleaner like Novus Plastic Polish #1, Brillianize Plastic Cleaner, or a mild soap solution.
Please reference the following compatible cleaners when DISINFECTING acrylic and polycarbonate items. The use of commonly available commercial alcohol or ammonia-based disinfectants may cause crazing and damage.

Cleaning Kydex Kydex® is very easy to clean: tough stains, scuffs, and graffiti can be removed using strong cleaners with no staining or surface damage to the material. Kydex® sheet will retain its original beauty with routine cleaning and care. To ensure that your part maintains its original appearance, use mild soap and lukewarm water to remove light dirt. To remove heavier dirt or grease from texture valleys, a short stiff bristled brush should be used to loosen the debris and oils followed by a water rinse.

For the last 2 weeks I have been in constant contact with customer service dealing with some problems of your Kydex material I purchased from your company. The material I was receiving had some serious mars down the entire length of the surface making it impossible for me to form and use it on a show bike (H.D. Motorcycle Tri Glide) without it being quite visible to onlookers. I was quite pressed for time and my customer was climbing all over me to get the material from someone else for he had no intentions of missing the event. I decided to stick with Interstate Plastics for one reason only, customer service.

The Kydex was perfect, but my only criticism I have is that their shipping materials could be greatly improved, for what I believe wouldn't be that much money. We therfomorm this into knife sheaths for swinguards and other specialty hobby knives. It works very well. It can be heated in a toaster oven. Not a microwave, but an oven, even a hair dryer works. Molds and then you let it cool. Interstate Plastics is easy to order from and very friendly.

Just perfect for thermoforming and very attractive material. We vacuum form these around gun dummies and the holsters are just perfect. be a bit careful when cutting the edges, they can be sanded down if rough. Great price!

I have a 2011 Kia Forte Koup that i just love (not as much as my old truck though) but i hate having to plug in my phone into it and there is no real good like docking place so when i use navigation or anything with my phone. I have been thinking bout get started on making my own kydex sheaths. I bought 5 sheets to start and they work wonders I have made my first sheath and a cell phone holder and cigar holder with cutter holder out of 2 sheets am trying to figure out what next to make.
