Interstate Plastics Provides Materials for "Capital City Classic" Robot Competition
Interstate Plastics was proud to provide plastics for the “Capital City Classic” in Elk Grove, CA on October 28-29, 2017, where the St. Francis team, ‘The Fembots’, utilized expanded (foamed) PVC and transparent polycarbonate plastic, shown in the photo below to make for a strong lightweight robot.
The event, held at Pleasant Grove High School, is an exciting, fun and welcoming event for “First Robotics Competition” (RFC) Teams to participate and compete for trophies in a fun team-friendly event, with workshops presented by over sixteen hundred mentors and students.
This was Interstate Plastics second time providing materials for the event. In 2014, Interstate Plastics provided polycarbonate for the 6 foot, 6-inch Clawdia robot for a “First Robotics Competition” (RFC) at the University of California, Davis.
Interstate Plastics is glad to see the Sacramento area’s youth involved in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics programs that inspire the next generation of great thinkers.
