Interstate Plastics Terms & Conditions

By using and purchasing through the Interstate Plastics website, you consent to our terms and conditions. By using our cut-to-size service, you accept and understand that cuts are nominal and have a tolerance of ± 0.125" (1/8") and that cut-to-size materials are not returnable or refundable. Prices and Availability

Published price lists are net and subject to change without notice. Prices may vary with current inventory. Online prices are valid for online orders only. In store purchases may vary in price and certain products may not be available at certain locations.

Accepted Payment Methods

We accept American Express (AMEX), MasterCard, Visa, Wire Transfer, checks, and Net 30 terms on approved credit. For orders by check, please contact our customer service staff at (888) 768-5759. No C.O.D. is available.

Return Policy

Standard stock and optimal size items are returnable if undamaged and in unused, new condition. Items will be inspected to ensure the item is in new condition; credit cannot be issued until product is received and inspected in our facility. Cut-to-size, machined and non-standard items are not returnable or refundable. If we cut it, you own it! Cut-to-size products include any material that is cut below its standard sheet length or optimal size. Full sheet sizes are normally 48" x 96" or 48" x 120". Optimal sizes generally include 12" x 24", 24" x 48", 48" x 96" and 48" x 120". If you are unsure of full or optimal sheet size, please contact our customer service staff at (888) 768-5759.

Returns must be requested within 30 days of shipment and require prior written approval. Only unused, unmodified stock material in resalable condition is eligible for return. Cut-to-size, fabricated, custom, or non-stock material is non-returnable. Final return eligibility is at the sole discretion of company management.

Damaged materials must be refused on delivery and reported to Interstate Plastics within 7 days. Please review the Inspection & Damage Claims section of our Shipping & Returns Policy for more information regarding damaged materials.

If your item is damaged beyond use, give Interstate Plastics a call at (888) 768-5759 and provide details about the damage to your item. You'll also have the opportunity to tell us if you wish to request a refund or receive a replacement item. Contact us for mandatory authorization number. ISO requirements allow no exceptions. Credit cannot be issued until product is received and inspected in our facility.

  • Standard stock and optimal-size items may be returned within 30 days if in like new, undamaged condition.
  • Standard stock and optimal-size items may be returned via freight or mail, or dropped off in-person at an Interstate Plastics facility.
  • All returned items incur a 35% restocking fee, plus cost of freight. Quality issues are exempt from fees.
  • Items will be inspected to ensure they are in like new, undamaged condition. Credit cannot be issued until the product has been received and inspected.
  • Refunds may take up to 14 days before they are fully processed and completed.
  • Non-optimal cut-to-size materials and fabricated parts are non-returnable and non-refundable. Cut-to-size orders include any material that is cut below standard or optimal sheet size and have an acceptable cut tolerance of 1/8" (0.125").
  • Rods and tubes may only be returned in standard lengths of 4', 5', 8', 10', and 12'. All other lengths are considered non-optimal.
  • Semi-finished plastics may come with scuffs and small scratches as the surface is not protected during stocking and loading. This is not considered a quality issue for the purposes of returns.
  • All refund requests for interstateplastics.com orders must be received in a written format (email, letter) to be considered. Verbal requests for refund will not be acted on until a refund request is received in writing.
  • Adhesives and any hazardous materials are not returnable or refundable and all adhesive and hazardous material sales are final. All adhesives ship from Interstate Plastics' Sacramento location. No overnight shipping or air freight will be provided for hazardous material shipping.
  • Returned items must be in new and unused condition. Tools, welding tools, blades, drills, bits, sample packs and all accessory items will be inspected to ensure the item is in new condition. Items must be returned with all original packaging and/or accessories. Individual samples are non-refundable.
  • Contact Interstate Plastics for the required return authorization number. ISO requirements allow no exceptions.
  • Credit cannot be issued until product is received and inspected at an Interstate Plastics facility.

Warning Regarding Proposition 65

Some materials and products provided by Interstate Plastics are known by the State of California to contain chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. (California law requires this warning to be given to customers in the State of California.)

Warning on Adhesives

All adhesives, glues, and other potentially hazardous products are for industrial use only and not for consumer use at homes or schools in recreation.

Warning on Sharp Edges

Cut materials may have sharp edges. We recommend wearing protective gloves when unpacking and handling this material to ensure safety.

Tax Exempt Status and Orders

State law exempts items that are resold in the normal course of business. Material and products used to run your business are taxable. We are unable to automatically exempt taxes during the online checkout process. In order to establish and maintain tax exempt status, Interstate Plastics requires that you provide us with a valid tax exemption certificate for the state(s) where you are located, and that you update and maintain a current certificate, in accordance with state laws and our Terms & Conditions. Sales tax may be charged on any orders placed through the Interstate Plastics website.

Tax refunds will not be provided for orders placed through the cart. In this scenario, you may contact your state's Department of Revenue to request a refund of tax paid. Once valid tax exemption documents are filed and approved by Interstate Plastics, tax exempt orders must be placed over the phone through an Interstate Plastics representative. Freight on Board (F.O.B.)

Shipping point unless otherwise stated in writing. Purchaser assumes all risk for damage or loss and responsibility for submitting claims with carrier.

Purchase Minimums

There is no minimum purchase amount; however a $50 processing fee is applied to all orders under $200 and is waived at a $200 cart subtotal. A $20 fee is applied to non-optimal cut-to-size online purchases under $50. For accessories, a $4.99 fee applies to orders under $25.00. Optimal sizes generally include 12x24", 24x48", 48x96" and 48x120".

Machining & Fabrication

Non-standard items, including machined and fabricated materials, are not returnable or refundable. Quality issues will be resolved to the original specification or drawing requirements. Please call (888) 768-5759 to learn more about our capabilities in machining and fabrication for your specific needs and application. Scuffs and small scratches on semi-finished products are to be expected. This is not considered a quality issue. Handling Charges

Handling charges may apply in certain cases and vary by situation. A $20 fee is applied to non-optimal cut-to-size online purchases under $50. For accessories, a $4.99 fee applies to orders under $25.00. Optimal sizes generally include 12x24", 24x48", 48x96" and 48x120".

Sales Tax

We collect sales tax in WA, CA, TX, AL, IA and ID.

Nominal and Acceptable Tolerances

Residential Addresses

Customers must designate whether the delivery address is residential or commercial at checkout. Any location without a loading dock and forklift is considered a residential address. Neglecting to designate the delivery address as residential may result in the inability to deliver the shipment.

Lift gate or pallet jack services must be requested in the comments section of the order during checkout and are not included in standard delivery charges.

Residential customers are responsible for unloading all freight and must be available and physically able to offload materials. Drivers are unable to deliver beyond street level, cannot assist with unloading the shipment, and cannot wait for the shipment to be unloaded by hand. Customers must unload and retain all crating and packaging materials, as the carrier will not dispose of them.

Residential customers must be present at the scheduled delivery time with the ability to unload freight. If the shipment cannot be delivered or is refused by the customer, the freight carrier will charge a service fee to attempt a re-delivery or to store the material until it can be delivered.

Cutting and Machining Plastics

  • All cut-to-size dimensions are nominal and subject to a tolerance of ±0.125" (1/8").
  • Non-optimal cut-to-size materials are non-returnable and non-refundable. Cut-to-size orders include any material that is cut below standard or optimal sheet size.
  • Optimal sheet sizes are generally 12" x 24", 24" x 48", 48" x 96", and 48" x 120". Standard sheet sizes are generally 48" x 96" and 48" x 120". Standard and optimal sheet sizes may be returned only if unused and undamaged.
  • Rods and tubes may only be returned in standard lengths of 4', 5', 8', 10', and 12'. All other lengths are considered non-optimal.
  • Standard items and optimal sizes are subject to a 35% restocking fee plus freight costs.

Promotional Codes

Promotional codes are sometimes offered by Interstate Plastics. Promotional codes apply only to online orders placed through the Interstate Plastics website, unless otherwise stated, and may have additional restrictions. Promotional codes may not be used with other offers, discounts or additional promotional codes. Promotional codes will not be applied to past purchases. Promotional codes may not be applied toward sales tax or shipping costs. Offers subject to change.
