Flange bearings are available in two standard materials: oil-filled nylon, and natural or virgin UHMW. In corrosion sensitive applications, UHMW is the preferred material, however, oil-filled nylon has a huge advantage in load bearing capability. Both materials are routinely used in food contact applications where wash-down and lubricity are concerns. All of our block bearing products match their metal counterparts for height, centerline and bolt patterns and are, therefore, interchangeable dimensionally.
