Polypropylene is a thermoplastic polymer used in a wide variety of applications including packaging and labeling, textiles (e.g. wicking clothing, ropes, thermal underwear and carpets), stationery, reusable containers, laboratory equipment, animal enclosures, loudspeakers, automotive components, and polymer banknotes. It is rugged, light weight, abrasion resistant, and has high strength. Polypropylene is also good at transporting moisture and extremely resistant to many chemical solvents, bases and acids.
