Former 49er Dan Bunz Drives for Interstate Plastics in NASCAR Media Blitz 100, October 11th in Roseville, Calif.
SACRAMENTO, Calif., Oct. 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — The All-American Speedway of Roseville, Calif. is set to host the Basalite Media Blitz 100 on October 11 at 7:45 pm.
The Media Blitz 100, an annual stock car race featuring high-profile media locals, will occur prior to NASCAR’s K&N Pro Series West race. Interstate Plastics is proud to sponsor the Media Blitz 100 with Dan Bunz, former NFL linebacker, at the wheel of the #57 NASCAR. Proceeds from the Media Blitz 100 will benefit the Placer Breast Cancer Endowment in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Bunz ran an eight-year career in the NFL (1978-1985) playing for the San Francisco 49ers and the Detroit Lions. He is well-known for hard-hitting tackles that helped lead to two Super Bowl victories for the 49ers in 1982 and 1985.
As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Bunz’s Interstate Plastics sponsored NASCAR will sport a pink ribbon on the upper-left-hand side of the windshield with proceeds from the event benefiting advancements in breast cancer awareness and research. The NASCAR, at 500 horsepower, will match the same colors as his former 49ers team.
Interstate Plastics will also be cheering on the James Bickford team after the celebrity race and raffling off a James Bickford signed Pro Series Car Care Kit, part of Interstate Plastics’ new Pro Series line of high-performance tools, detailers, polishes, ultra-plush microfiber towels and gloves specifically formulated for the automotive market.
