Industrial Outside Sales Manager - Austin, TX
Interstate Plastics is hiring a full-time Industrial Outside Sales Manager in our Austin office. Interstate Plastics is a multi-state plastics distributor. It offers a fast paced, professional work environment.
The Industrial Outside Sales Representative is responsible for growing Interstate Plastic's customer base and developing ongoing, profitable relationships with customers, all while continually maintaining a professional image of the company. Integrity, passion, and in-person presentational skills are essential for this role.
Perform professional presentations or demonstrations of company products and services.
Provide application assistance by determining customer needs and supplying products that provide a solution.
Overcome objections of prospective customers.
Penetrate all targeted accounts and radiate sales from within current client base.
Generate and develop new customer accounts to increase revenue, by cold-calling if necessary.
Build and foster a network of referrals to create new opportunities for revenue growth.
Actively manage itinerary to adequately cover assigned territory in a time-efficient manner.
Use marketing data from applicable sales management software tools such as (CRM) to maximize sales efficiency and effectiveness.
Maintain accurate records; including itineraries, sales call reports, expense reimbursement forms, and other documentation.
Build and maintain ongoing awareness of new products and services, competitor activities, and other research.
University or college degree in Sales, Marketing, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas.
Professional demeanor, selling style, and appearance.
Self motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
High level of integrity and work ethic.
Frequent travel including multiple overnight stays.
Up to several hours of driving per day.
