High-Performance Plastics for HPHT Oil & Gas Environments

High-performance plastics withstand demanding mechanical and chemical conditions.

PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) is valued for its exceptional chemical resistance and low friction properties, making it ideal for seals, gaskets, valve seats, and for lining tanks and pipelines exposed to corrosive substances.

PEEK (Polyetheretherketone) offers excellent resistance to both temperature and pressure, which makes it well-suited for downhole tools, and backup rings.

Torlon®, also known as PAI (Polyamide-imide), is a high-performance plastic that maintains mechanical strength at elevated temperatures and under heavy loads. It is used in seals, compressor components, and electrical insulators exposed to extreme conditions.

Ultem®, or PEI (Polyetherimide), features high dielectric strength and flame resistance, making it ideal for electrical insulation, pump housings, and sensitive instrument components within oil and gas systems.

UHMW (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) has excellent abrasion and impact resistance and is used in wear pads, pipe supports, and chute liners.
